This is one of my most successful post on LinkedIn in the last week.
Besides over 26,000 views, 62 comments, and 15 shares, what impressed me the most was how valuable most of the comments were.
A lot of people shared their stories, including “Lisa V”, a director and show host.
She shared how by doing a lot of AV work, she was able to learn. She mentioned
Bitfocus Companion as one important resource for her journey.
The most common question was how to get resources to learn about IP, IT, and OT.
I put together a free list of sites and people for your reference.
I am not endorsing anyone in the list; I just got good references from them during my research.
Let me know who else we should add as I am sure that you might know other options to learn about this topic.
I want to give a big shutout to Ursula Romero and her team who delivered the host broadcast production of the World Games that just ended in Chengdu, China, last week.
The World Games are a global event for sports and disciplines that are not part of the Olympic Games.
It was a massive effort coordinating crew from many nationalities (they even had a women only crew as part of their setup) delivering 20 simultaneous feeds.
Kudos to the team at ISB for this big accomplishment. I know that many of you who worked in this event are also part of our community here.
Valeria Sosa is great broadcasting engineer (one of the best when it comes to 2110).
She always advocates for inclusion and diversity in our business.
Part of her efforts are the support to the LEA Awards that recognize Leadership, Excellence and Advocacy.
The next edition of this gala will happen end of November and they are looking for sponsors for the event.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a moment of recognition to their 5 great honorees of the year.

Finally, I want to thank all of you, but especially the 32 persons who have already upgraded their subscription to my newsletter.
I never thought that this many people would decide to support this effort. Special shoutout to Vanessa and Jamie, who are the 2 founding members of our community.
Your support is a big responsibility as I try to bring resources and stories about our industry that could make a difference in your life and career.
If you can’t or don’t want to upgrade to paid, the other big way to help this newsletter is by sharing it with a couple of friends that you think might like it.
THANK YOU.
Talk to you next week.
